Intelligent Presence Sensor

Save power and get the best results every time.

By utilising an integrated camera at the bottom of its bezel, your BRAVIA television is able to accomplish a variety of things:

  • Face Detection: Automatically turns the television to Picture Off mode and, after a while, switches it off completely when it doesn't detect anyone watching for a pre-determined period.
  • Position Control: Optimises the picture and audio settings based on where people are concentrated in the room.
  • Distance Alert: Sends a visual and audio warning when it detects a child within 1m from the television screen.

* Not available when watching streaming movies or content from a PC input.

Presence Sensor

Never worry about accidentally
leaving the television on again.

Now you don't have to worry about wasting electricity from having the television switched on in an empty room. Presence Sensor uses an infrared motion detector to determine if anyone is within 6m and if not, dims the screen. If no one returns within a predetermined duration, the television then switches itself off to save power.

Ambient Sensor

Great pictures under any lighting condition.

Because we watch shows at various times of the day and under a variety of lighting conditions, the pictures on the television screen can sometimes appear washed out or dull. Ambient Sensor gets around this problem by automatically adjusting the picture based on the brightness and colour temperature of the surround lighting. This not only ensures a consistent and optimum image quality, but also saves power by reducing brightness when it is dark.

Energy Saving Switch

Reduce standby power consumption
to almost nothing.

Almost all electrical devices still consume some power when they are plugged into the main outlet, even if they're switched off. In order to prevent this unnecessary wastage, the Energy Saving Switch reduces standby power consumption to nearly 0W, saving you the trouble of having to unplug the television.

* There is very weak power consumption beyond the detectable range of common energy meters (i.e. less than 0.0001W).
